Our Story
"Healing isn't a destination; it's a daily practice of remembering who you are. We wear our stories not as scars, but as armor."
Founder, ASINI.CA
From Survival to Intentional Creation.
My name is Natalie Morin. I am a member of Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation from Sandy Bay, SK — granddaughter of a residential school survivor, and an intergenerational survivor myself.
I spent years navigating the darkness of addiction, searching for an identity that felt authentic in a world that often tried to erase it. My past devastated me, tormented me, and almost killed me. Fortunately, a counsellor broke the rules and supported me — helping me break down my shield, learn to forgive, heal, and move forward.
"I realized that to heal myself, I needed to build something that could hold the weight of our stories."
I have since fully recovered from addiction and earned my diploma specializing in Addictions from SIIT in Prince Albert, SK. My journey in life is to help youth and people of all ages through trauma and addiction, and to build self-confidence and self-esteem.
Today, ASINI is more than a brand. It is a conduit for storytelling, a platform for community healing, and a testament to the fact that we are still here — creating, thriving, and reclaiming our narrative.
Our Mission & Values.
The pillars that hold up the ASINI house. Everything we create, write, and host is filtered through these core intentions.
The Journey.
Milestones of reclamation and creation.
